The excitement is building !!…

And the countdown is on !!…..to the Orchestral Mass 2021 !!

We weren’t able to hold this annual event last year due to COVID related restrictions, so it’s extra special to be able to put it together this year over a number of months – it’s always an amazing occasion which brings together over 100 young students with their teachers and form a symphony orchestra and massed choir around the Cathedral Choir and sing and play for Mass !!

This year, we have one of the largest ensembles ever assembled for the Orchestral Mass – and some new schools are represented for the very first time including Prendiville Catholic College, Iona Presentation College and Mother Teresa Catholic College – AND to add to the stellar line-up, we are delighted to welcome as our guest conductor Mr Chadwick Beins – Director of Music at St Norbert’s College AND our very first St Mary’s Cathedral Organ Scholar (2009-2012) !!
