Save the date !!! 15th August – Josh’s farewell recital

Our beloved Principal Cantor Joshua Adams is, sadly, leaving our shores and heading overseas to further study.

Joshua writes:

In September I’m moving to York in the UK to commence an MA in Solo Voice Ensemble Singing at the University of York with Robert Hollingworth, director of leading UK ensemble, I Fagiolini. It’s a unique Masters where members of the course come together to form a one-to-a-part ensemble, or consort. In this year’s consort I’ll be joined by another singer from Perth, an alto, but the other members of the group consist of a soprano from England, another from Ireland, and a bass from Seattle in the US, leaving me to sing tenor in the multi-national ensemble!

Josh has been with us here at St Mary’s since late 2007 – we’ve watched him grow and develop from an outstanding treble into a brilliant young musician and fine young man.

Join us as we officially farewell him with a very special concert on Sunday 15th August at 2pm at St Mary’s Cathedral.
