St Mary’s Cathedral Tours

St Mary’s Cathedral is the mother church of the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth – the seat of the Catholic Archbishop of Perth.

Experience for yourself the stunning beauty of St Mary’s Cathedral – the State’s largest church building and an icon of the City of Perth.

The Tour will explain the varying stages of the Catholic Church’s growth in Western Australia commencing at the Pro-Cathedral at 18 Victoria Avenue which is the oldest Church in the CBD and second oldest public building in the CBD, which still operates as a church. Visitors will see the Cathedral’s architectural and artistic developments spanning three centuries – from its relatively humble beginnings in 1865 to the stunning 21st Century building we see today. A highlight of every Tour is a visit to the Cathedral Crypt.
